CCCU Salomons Centre

The Salomons Centre project has breathed new life into the former Zurich House.

Our latest projects for Canterbury Christ Church University will enable them to expand its offering to Tunbridge Wells.

The development, also known as Meadow Road, has transformed this 5-storey former office block into teaching, library and support accommodation. Works included internal alterations; new mechanical, electrical and data; partitions, ceilings and internal refurbishment. In addition, external area improvements for DDA compliance and repairs to the building envelope were provided.

Our team and subcontractors pulled out all the stops to complete the demanding programme through extended hours and weekend working. The c.1,500m2 building was refurbished in only 10 weeks ready for fit out and use by the Applied Psychology department. The department is home to one of the largest and most established Clinical Psychology programmes in the UK.

The University has previously announced that the building will also accommodate part of their Business School to offer degree level courses to working professionals – offering hope and ambition for those who already work for a living and want to expand their skills.

The latest project in a partnership of over almost two decades once again saw us working in partnership with Betteridge & Milsom, HMY and Evans & Langford. Our work with the University has seen a variety of buildings transformed for the benefit of their students.
